{ praying without ceasing }
Praying without ceasing. Coming before the Lord, our Heavenly Father constantly, boldly, faithfully.
Laying down our desires, requests, pleas, cries at His feet.
We are to boldly approach the throne of grace for just that; grace.
We are to cry to Him for wisdom, and we are called to continually ask Him for wisdom, guidance, and for Him to give us the desires of our hearts.
Because that's how pray works; it aligns our desires/heart's longing to His plan for us. That's why we pray. To be able to trust our desires/longings and to move forward with making decisions and living a life to please Him. Because when we are aligned with Him in prayer, we will in turn long for what He wants for us.
Will there be times when the prayers aren't answered? Yes.
Will there be times when the prayers are answered with a no? Yes.
But when God places something on our hearts to pray for, we are called to pray for it. Earnestly. Tearfully. Truthfully. Admitting our weaknesses and human brokenness. Yet still, we are to bring our heart's desires to Him and beg Him for them.
I believe that.
And so when after 2 weeks I have such an urge to pray for Tim, and such a peace/feeling that I just need to wait. Wait and pray.
So that's what I will do: bring my heart's desires to Him, and beg Him to draw Tim closer to Himself; to mold him into a more godly man.
For me. Because that's my heart's desire.
And God will either give me that, or re-align my heart to His will.
I don't know what His answer will be. But I know what my duty is:
pray without ceasing.
